Women’s Day power: Nabadisha mothers train in self-defence
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, all Nabadisha centres united to honour the resilience, talent, and spirit of women through a host of vibrant activities. The day was filled with laughter, movement, and camaraderie as children and parents participated in fun games and energetic dance sessions. The Taratala centre made the day extra special with a unique initiative—female parents set up a food stall featuring delicious homemade items, offering them a platform to earn and proudly share their culinary talents.
Adding to the empowering atmosphere, a self-defence session was organized for the mothers. It was led by one of Nabadisha’s own students, now a black belt in Karate, who taught basic yet effective techniques. The session not only equipped the women with useful skills but also stood as a powerful symbol of community-led empowerment and growth.
