Early Childhood Development

Strengthening lifelong outcomes by prioritising the first 1000 days - from pregnancy to age two.

Nurturing the Earliest Years, Shaping Lifelong Futures

The first 1,000 days—from pregnancy to age two—are critical for brain development, with over a million neural connections forming every second and nearly 80% of growth completed. This window shapes lifelong learning, health, and wellbeing. By focusing on this stage, we aim to break cycles of disadvantage, especially in vulnerable communities. Our approach, grounded in the nurturing care framework, integrates nutrition, health, early learning, and protection into a cohesive system of care—rooted in families, supported by frontline workers, and strengthened through public systems.
