The Vikramshila team engaged in the first 1000-days project in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Koraput in Odisha, developed IEC/BCC materials, activity cards, audio visual messages on responsive caregiving and low-cost toys, to support the holistic development of children in the first 1000 days from pregnancy to 2 years. We conducted community chaupals, and parents’ coaching sessions at Aaganwadi centres including 150 home visits in 13 villages. In Koraput, the district administration has earmarked funds for the creation of one Lighthouse at Bageipadar-2.
