3 Math Fairs or ‘melas’ were organized in early October and 30 SSM schools in the Garden Reach area, Kolkata, participated in it. 321 students, 55 teachers and 21 community members were reached through them. 75 classrooms were made print-rich in 25 SSM schools, 917 students & 138 teachers were reached through classroom decoration. ‘Math Melas’ are organized to help make the subject more comprehensive and fun for students. It includes activities related to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as well as measurements, shapes and patterns.
