The Tripura team is currently working with the state government to contextualise and review the National Curriculum Framework to make it more relevant to the needs of the state. One of the primary reasons for the exercise is that Tripura has a large tribal population who use various languages and dialects. The project is funded by West Bengal and initiated by (Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP). The threeyear project will be piloted in the 12 aspirational blocks of five districts — Khowai, Gomati, Dhalai, North Tripura and South Tripura.
